HireMode is a trust-first employer planning tool built to compare the real annual cost of a W-2 employee and a 1099 contractor without hiding important assumptions.

Teams often make hiring decisions with partial math. Salary might be visible, but payroll taxes, unemployment, workers compensation, benefits, PTO, software, equipment, recruiting time, and manager oversight all change the real employer picture. HireMode puts those costs into one editable workspace so finance, people, and hiring managers can review the same scenario together.

The product also includes a plain-English classification risk checklist. That section is intentionally lightweight. It is there to flag control patterns that may deserve a closer review, not to replace legal advice. The core durability rule is simple: regulatory defaults should either be editable or shown with an as-of date and a source reference so the model does not quietly drift out of date.
